Vegan I Gluten Free (optional)
Serves: 2
Time: 15 minutes
4 slices of bread (gluten free option)
1/3 cup peanut butter (or nut butter of choice / sun butter)*
1 - 2 bananas, sliced
*Tip: The only ingredient in your butter should be the nut / seed itself. Avoid processed brands, added sugars, and preservatives.
Chocolate layer
2 tbsp. coconut oil, melted
1 tbsp. cacao powder
1/2 tbsp. coconut butter (or sub maple syrup / honey/ sweetener of choice)
Slice your bread and toast until golden brown if preferred warm.
In a small mixing bowl add your chocolate layer ingredients. Stir until well combined. Place the bowl in the fridge for ~5 minutes, until starting to thicken.
Evenly spread the peanut butter on the bottom two slices of bread.
Next, add your sliced bananas on top of the nut butter.
When the chocolate is ready, give it a good stir to create a spread like consistency. Spread the chocolate on the top slice of bread.
Fold the top slice over the bottom and enjoy!
